Seth Apter's Baked Texture Mixed Media and Beyond


Hello! I'm over at Frilly and Funkie today with this week's Saturday Showcase with a quite lengthy tutorial on Seth Apter's newly released Baked Texture powders. I hope you'll stop by to see these antithetical projects in their entirety, but for now, here's a quick look at my play with these fabulous, diverse powders.

The Artistic Stamper March Creative Challenge - Stencils & Masks I used Etcetera stamp set and bricks and numbers stencils.
The Mixed Media Monthly March Challenge #46 Rusty card I used two bricks stencils, several embossing powders, Distress ink, Distress paint, Distress Oxide, Distress Collage Matte Medium and crackle paste.

  16. Your cards are amazing as always, Sara Emily! Those baked texture powders are so cool and I love how you've incorporated them into your designs. I love your feminine layered card with soft colors, flowers and vintage lace, yet your masculine card is also cool with the brick and baked textures. Love these!! Hugs :-)

  18. Two fabulous cards Sara, lots of gorgeous detail on both. Your photo tutorials on the Baked Textures are brilliant, much better than a video. Fantastic effects and nice to know that they mix well. I especially like the 'fuzzy' walls, the texture looks amazing xx

  22. Well! Lucky you to have all the powder flavors! I managed to get my hands on some Deep Sea, Sand, and Patina. Wanted the beeswax, apparently so does everyone ever born. Love your two cards. Love how the frame turned out, xoxo
